Bayangkan saja, sebuah sekolah dasar yang berdiri sederhana dengan dinding bambu, bahkan belum menikmati aliran listrik, tiba-tiba menerima bantuan berupa Smart TV layar sentuh. Kontras sekali, bukan? Inilah yang membuat SD Negeri Mboeng di Kabupaten Manggarai Timur, NTT, langsung menjadi perbincangan hangat di berbagai platform media sosial. Publik pun bertanya-tanya, apa maksud dan tujuan dari pemberian perangkat canggih tersebut?
Menanggapi hal ini, Menteri Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu’ti akhirnya angkat bicara. Ia menjelaskan bahwa pengiriman Smart TV tersebut merupakan bagian tak terpisahkan dari program digitalisasi yang sedang digencarkan pada pemerintahan Presiden Prabowo Subianto. Mu’ti menyampaikan, perangkat itu dikirim ke semua sekolah, baik yang sudah teraliri listrik maupun yang belum. “Oh, jadi begini. Jadi program itu kan memang berjalan beriringan, tapi tidak sama, ya. Kalau program digitalisasi memang targetnya semua sekolah, baik dia yang sudah ada listrik maupun yang belum ada listrik,” ujar Mu’ti saat ditemui di Jakarta Pusat, Jumat (11/9/2026) malam.
Tentu saja, pernyataan ini langsung menuai beragam reaksi. Di satu sisi, program digitalisasi memang menjadi angin segar bagi dunia pendidikan di era modern ini. Namun, di sisi lain, realita di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak sekolah yang bahkan kekurangan fasilitas dasar. SD Negeri Mboeng menjadi contoh nyata bagaimana sebuah sekolah mendapatkan perangkat digital berupa papan interaktif atau yang populer disebut Smart TV untuk mendukung pembelajaran, meskipun muncul informasi bahwa sekolah belum memiliki sumber listrik memadai. Lantas, bagaimana perangkat itu akan digunakan jika listriknya saja tidak ada?
Mendikdasmen pun menegaskan bahwa khusus sekolah yang belum ada listrik, pemerintah sedang mengusahakan agar semua sekolah memiliki jaringan listrik. Akan tetapi, Mu’ti mengingatkan bahwa upaya tersebut membutuhkan proses dan waktu. “Kemudian pembangunan sekolah itu kan memang berdasarkan prioritas tadi, yang daerah-daerah 3T, daerah-daerah yang memang tertinggal, dan sekolah rusak berat,” ucapnya. Artinya, pemerintah menyadari betul bahwa masih ada ketimpangan fasilitas di berbagai daerah, terutama di wilayah terdepan, terpencil, dan tertinggal (3T).

Kabar baiknya, Mu’ti memastikan sekolah yang viral di NTT itu akan direvitalisasi pada tahun 2026 ini. Ia pun mengungkit bahwa ada 1.400 sekolah di NTT yang perlu direvitalisasi. “Untuk tahun ini kami akan bantu dengan dana revitalisasi. Dan di NTT sendiri ada lebih dari 1.400 sekolah yang tahun ini akan kita bangun dengan anggaran lebih dari Rp 1 triliun,” kata Mu’ti. Wow, angka yang fantastis! Dengan demikian, Mu’ti menekankan, pemerintah berkomitmen untuk memberikan layanan pendidikan terbaik bagi sekolah-sekolah yang rusak. “Dan mudah-mudahan secara bertahap sesuai dengan janji dan juga arahan Bapak Presiden semua sekolah akan bisa diperbaiki dalam rentang waktu sampai akhir tahun 2028,” imbuh Mu’ti.
Jadi, meskipun awalnya terkesan lucu dan ironis, kejadian ini sebenarnya membuka mata kita semua. Program digitalisasi memang penting untuk mengejar ketertinggalan, tetapi alangkah lebih bijak jika infrastruktur dasar seperti listrik dan bangunan sekolah yang layak juga segera dibenahi.
