Kabupaten Pohuwato, Gorontalo, sedang menghadapi tren peningkatan kasus suspek campak yang mengkhawatirkan. Data terbaru minggu ke-20 tahun 2025 menunjukkan 43 kasus suspek. Sebanyak 42% penderita ternyata tidak pernah menerima imunisasi sama sekali, dan 47% lainnya tidak memiliki catatan status imunisasi.
“Setelah kami telusuri melalui penyelidikan epidemiologi, ternyata banyak dari pasien ini tidak mendapatkan imunisasi campak rubella. Inilah yang memicu lonjakan kasus di Pohuwato,” jelas Jeane, Minggu (25/5/2025).
Jeane menegaskan, meski gejala klinis mengarah ke campak, dokter harus mengonfirmasi diagnosis melalui pemeriksaan laboratorium.“Saat ini, kasus-kasus ini masih berstatus suspek karena kami menduga kuat penyebabnya adalah rendahnya cakupan vaksinasi di wilayah tersebut,” tambahnya.

Dinas Kesehatan Gorontalo aktif mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya imunisasi untuk mencegah PD3I dalam menanggapi situasi ini “Kami tidak bisa menekankan cukup betapa pentingnya imunisasi, terutama untuk melindungi anak-anak dari campak dan penyakit berbahaya lainnya,” tegas Jeane.
Dinas Kesehatan segera mengambil beberapa langkah konkret. Mereka membentuk tim penyelidikan epidemiologi, mengidentifikasi sumber dan faktor risiko, serta memberikan pengobatan simptomatik dan vitamin A dosis tinggi. Untuk kasus berat, tim medis langsung merujuk pasien ke rumah sakit.
Dinkes juga aktif mendorong pelaksanaan Imunisasi Respon Wabah (ORI). Mereka menargetkan cakupan imunisasi minimal 95% dan memberikan vaksin tanpa memandang status imunisasi sebelumnya.
