Jakarta (Desapenari.id) – Menteri Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (P2MI), Abdul Kadir Karding, bersemangat memperkuat program peningkatan keterampilan (upskilling) bagi calon pekerja migran Indonesia (PMI). Tak hanya itu, Karding juga mengajak diaspora Indonesia di berbagai negara untuk turut berkontribusi meningkatkan kualitas calon PMI. “Diaspora punya pengalaman dan jaringan luas. Mari bersama-sama memajukan SDM Indonesia agar lebih kompetitif,” serunya.

Pemerintah saat ini sedang merancang skema pembiayaan pelatihan PMI melalui Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) tanpa agunan, dengan bunga maksimal 6%. Skema ini diharapkan bisa diakses calon PMI untuk membiayai pelatihan dan proses pemberangkatan.
“Kami sedang menyusun struktur biaya pelatihan di negara-negara tujuan,” ungkap Karding. Ia menegaskan, KP2MI akan bertindak tegas terhadap perusahaan yang memungut biaya di luar ketentuan.
