DENPASAR, Desapenari.id – Duka menyelimuti pulau dewata! Sebanyak tujuh warga negara asing (WNA) secara mengejutkan dilaporkan menderita diare akut usai menginap di sebuah hotel ternama di kawasan trendy Canggu, Kecamatan Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali. Peristiwa memilukan ini terjadi pada Selasa, 2 September 2025. Lebih tragis lagi, dalam kejadian ini, seorang perempuan WNA asal China, Deqingzhuoga (25), harus meregang nyawa. Sementara itu, kabar baik datang dari enam korban lainnya yang berhasil pulih setelah tim medis merawat mereka intensif di rumah sakit.
Kemudian, peristiwa ini pun ramai menjadi perbincangan hangat. Pasalnya, pemberitaan dari beberapa media asing sebelumnya telah beredar luas dan menyebutkan bahwa korban meninggal dan enam lainnya sempat dilarikan ke rumah sakit akibat keracunan obat pembasmi serangga yang digunakan di hotel tersebut. Namun, pihak berwajib langsung menyelidiki kebenaran kabar ini.
Menanggapi rumor yang beredar, Pejabat Sementara (PS) Kasubsi Penmas Seksi Humas Polres Badung, Aiptu Ni Nyoman Ayu Inastuti, dengan tegas menyatakan bahwa pihaknya belum bisa menyimpulkan secara pasti penyebab kematian WNA tersebut. Akan tetapi, dia memberikan titik terang. “Berdasarkan hasil otopsi, kami memiliki dugaan kuat bahwa korban meninggal dunia karena sakit diare yang dideritanya,” ujarnya dalam keterangan tertulis pada Jumat (21/11/2025). Dia melanjutkan penjelasannya, “Sebab pasti kematian orang tidak dapat ditentukan, akan tetapi sebab mati karena iritasi saluran pencernaan yang menimbulkan diare yang mengakibatkan kekurangan cairan dan elektrolit tidak dapat disingkirkan.” Dengan kata lain, dehidrasi parah diduga menjadi pemicu kematiannya.
Lalu, bagaimana kronologi kejadiannya? Berdasarkan keterangan saksi yang merupakan karyawan hotel, korban Deqingzhuoga mulai mengeluhkan sejumlah gejala aneh. Sejak Senin, 1 September 2025, dia sudah merasakan sakit kepala, nyeri punggung, muntah-muntah, dan tubuh yang sangat lemas. Menyadari kondisi tamunya yang memburuk, karyawan hotel dengan sigap membawa Deqingzhuoga ke klinik kesehatan terdekat. Sayangnya, korban menolak untuk dirawat secara intensif dengan alasan tidak memiliki biaya yang cukup. “Dari keterangan saksi-saksi, korban sempat mengalami sakit (sakit kepala, punggung, muntah, dan lemas) sejak Senin, (1/9/2025), serta sempat berobat ke klinik dan karena korban tidak mau dilakukan rawat inap, makanya hanya mendapat resep obat saja,” papar Inastuti lebih lanjut.
Akibatnya, korban pun memutuskan untuk membeli obat di apotik terdekat dan mencoba melakukan perawatan mandiri di dalam kamar hotelnya. Sungguh disayangkan, keputusan ini justru berakhir tragis. Pada saat yang bersamaan, karyawan hotel juga dibuat kewalahan. Mereka mendapati enam orang WNA lainnya yang juga menginap di hotel yang sama mengalami keluhan sakit yang sangat mirip dengan yang dirasakan Deqingzhuoga.
Lalu, siapakah saja keenam orang tersebut? Tiga di antaranya bahkan tinggal sekamar dengan korban, yaitu seorang wanita berinisial ML (35) asal China, dan dua orang lainnya, MI (22) dan AK (22), yang berasal dari Jerman. Sementara itu, tiga korban lain yang menginap di kamar berbeda juga mengalami nasib serupa. Mereka adalah AYM (25) asal Arab Saudi, CC (27) asal Filipina, dan ZS (30) asal China. Karena kondisi mereka yang tidak kunjung membaik, keenam WNA ini akhirnya dilarikan oleh pihak hotel ke berbagai rumah sakit berbeda di wilayah Kabupaten Badung untuk mendapatkan perawatan medis yang lebih memadai. “Secara garis besar (enam WNA lainnya mengalami sakit) sama dengan korban mengingat keluhan yang dialami sama dengan korban yaitu mual, muntah dan sakit perut (diare),” sambung Inastuti mempertegas kesamaan gejala yang dialami semua korban.
Kemudian, titik puncak dari tragedi ini terjadi keesokan harinya. Inastuti mengungkapkan bahwa keberadaan jenazah korban, Deqingzhuoga, pertama kali ditemukan oleh karyawan hotel pada Selasa (2/9/2025) sekitar pukul 11.00 Wita. Tanpa menunggu waktu lama, petugas kepolisian yang menerima laporan terkait peristiwa ini langsung bergegas mendatangi lokasi untuk melakukan olah tempat kejadian perkara (TKP). Setelah melakukan pemeriksaan mendalam, petugas tidak menemukan adanya tanda-tanda kekerasan pada tubuh korban. Sebagai bagian dari penyelidikan, petugas juga menyita makanan dan obat-obatan yang ditemukan di dalam tas milik korban serta mengambil sampel bekas muntah korban dari tempat sampah di kamar hotel tersebut.
Menariknya, keterangan dari pihak hotel justru memunculkan pertanyaan baru. Menurut mereka, korban tercatat hanya sekali memesan makanan dari hotel itu, yaitu pada saat pertama kali dia menginap pada 12 Agustus 2025. Artinya, sangat kecil kemungkinan keracunan berasal dari makanan hotel. Kemudian, hasil penyelidikan forensik pun akhirnya mengungkap fakta yang lebih mengejutkan. “Berdasarkan kesimpulan hasil pemeriksaan muntah korban ke Labforensik Denpasar di mana tidak ditemukannya (tidak terdeteksi) senyawa pestisida, narkoba, sianida, logam berat arsen, bahan kimia berbahaya dan methanol,” kata Inastuti. Hasil ini sekaligus membantah dugaan kuat keracunan pestisida yang sebelumnya santer diberitakan. Hingga saat ini, misteri di balik wabah diare misterius ini masih terus diselidiki, meninggalkan tanda tanya besar dan duka mendalam bagi keluarga korban.
