Pekanbaru, Desapenari.id – Sungguh memilukan! Seorang bocah perempuan yang mengalami luka sangat parah setelah diinjak oleh seekor gajah Sumatera di Kelurahan Rantau Panjang, Kecamatan Rumbai, Kota Pekanbaru, Riau, akhirnya menghembuskan napas terakhirnya pada hari Sabtu (1/11/2025). Dengan demikian, kita kehilangan satu jiwa kecil yang begitu berharga.
Korban yang kita kenal dengan nama lengkap Ezra Citra Juniani Purba (8) ini ternyata adalah seorang murid di SD Negeri 128 Pekanbaru. Sayangnya, gadis kecil ini harus berpulang setelah ia bertahan selama dua hari dalam perawatan intensif di RSUD Arifin Achmad, Pekanbaru. Akibatnya, keluarga dan lingkungan sekitarnya pun berduka.
Kemudian, Kepala Balai Besar Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BBKSDA) Riau, Supartono, secara resmi membenarkan kabar duka yang menyayat hati ini. “Kami, seluruh keluarga besar BBKSDA Riau, turut merasakan duka cita yang sangat dalam atas berpulangnya ananda Ezra Citra Juniani Purba,” jelas Supartono melalui sebuah pesan WhatsApp pada hari Sabtu. Selanjutnya, pihaknya menyampaikan harapan yang tulus agar kejadian mengerikan seperti ini tidak akan pernah terulang lagi di masa depan.
Lebih lanjut, Supartono dengan tegas menerangkan bahwa lokasi kejadian penyerangan gajah tersebut sebenarnya sudah termasuk dalam areal lintasan alami gajah. Selain itu, ada satu faktor kunci yang memancing kawanan gajah untuk singgah, yaitu keberadaan tanaman jagung yang ditanam di sebelah rumah sang korban. “Oleh karena itu, untuk mencegah gajah datang atau singgah di pemukiman, kami secara khusus mengimbau seluruh masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar lokasi kejadian agar tidak menanam berbagai jenis tanaman pangan di sekeliling rumah mereka, seperti jagung, jahe, cabai, jeruk, dan serai wangi,” tegas Supartono. Di samping itu, pihaknya juga mengingatkan masyarakat yang bermukim di dekat jalur lintasan gajah agar selalu waspada dan menjaga keselamatan. Sebagai contoh, jika suatu ketika ada kelompok gajah yang mendekat, masyarakat harus segera melaporkannya ke BBKSDA Riau atau aparat terkait setempat.
Sebelumnya, media telah memberitakan tentang seorang anak berusia 8 tahun bernama Citra yang menjadi korban injakan oleh seekor gajah Sumatera liar di Kelurahan Rantau Panjang, Kecamatan Rumbai, Kota Pekanbaru, Riau, pada dini hari Kamis (30/10/2025). Menurut pengakuan sang ayah, Sardo Purba (36), putrinya mengalami cedera yang sangat parah dan langsung tidak sadarkan diri setelah kejadian. “Kami menemukan luka yang paling mengerikan ada di bagian kepala anak saya, yang retak. Kemudian, ada juga luka serius di bagian perut dan pahanya,” ungkap Sardo dengan suara bergetar saat ia ditemui di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau, Pekanbaru. Ia juga menambahkan bahwa putrinya saat itu harus langsung menjalani operasi darurat.
Sardo kemudian menceritakan kembali detik-detik mengerikan itu; rumah keluarga mereka diserang oleh kawanan gajah sekitar pukul 04.30 WIB. Menurutnya, ada tiga ekor gajah liar yang tiba-tiba muncul dan berhenti persis di depan rumah mereka pada subuh itu. “Kami semua ketakutan, akhirnya kami memutuskan untuk keluar rumah secepatnya demi menyelamatkan diri,” kisah Sardo. Namun, sayangnya, salah satu gajah dengan ganas mengejar dan kemudian menginjak tubuh anak perempuannya yang tidak berdaya. “Saya secara langsung menyaksikan gajah itu menginjak anak saya. Begitu gajah pergi, saya segera menggendongnya, lalu saya larikan ke bidan terdekat. Akan tetapi, bidan tidak sanggup menanganinya, sehingga kami harus membawanya menggunakan ambulans ke RSUD Arifin Achmad,” tutur Sardo sambil memperlihatkan bercak darah anaknya yang masih melekat di bajunya.
Sementara itu, Wali Kota Pekanbaru, Agung Nugroho, tampak datang langsung untuk menemani dan menyemangati keluarga korban di rumah sakit. Agung menyatakan bahwa pihaknya segera berkoordinasi dengan direktur RSUD Arifin Achmad agar mereka memberikan tindakan medis yang cepat dan tepat sehingga nyawa korban dapat diselamatkan. “Saya datang ke sini dengan satu fokus utama, yaitu penyelamatan anak ini. Kami meminta pihak rumah sakit untuk menanganinya segera. Alhamdulillah, sekarang dia sudah dalam penanganan tim medis. Kondisi orangtuanya sempat sangat kebingungan, makanya saya turun tangan langsung untuk membantu. Mereka membutuhkan darah, dan tadi ibu direktur sudah mencarikannya secara langsung,” papar Agung saat diwawancarai.
Selain itu, Pemerintah Kota juga aktif berkoordinasi dengan Balai Besar Konservasi Sumber Daya Alam (BBKSDA) Riau guna menangani konflik antara manusia dengan satwa liar yang dilindungi ini. “Kami akan segera mengadakan rapat koordinasi dengan BBKSDA Riau untuk membahas penanganan komprehensif atas kejadian tragis ini, sehingga di masa depan kita bisa mencegah terulangnya insiden serupa,” pungkas Agung. Dengan demikian, semua pihak berkomitmen untuk belajar dari peristiwa ini dan meningkatkan upaya perlindungan bersama.
