Desapenari.id – Tim gabungan Kementerian Kehutanan (Kemenhut) bersama jajaran Kepolisian akhirnya berhasil menggagalkan aksi perburuan liar bersenjata di kawasan konservasi Taman Nasional (TN) Komodo. Dalam operasi spektakuler ini, tim dengan sigap menangkap 3 pelaku perburuan liar. Namun, sayangnya, 5 lainnya berhasil melarikan diri dalam kegelapan.

Kemudian, Kepala Balai Penegakan Hukum (Gakkum) Wilayah Jawa, Bali, dan Nusa Tenggara Kemenhut, Aswin Bangun, dengan tegas menjelaskan detail operasi. Menurutnya, petugas berhasil mengamankan tiga tersangka pemburu liar. Lebih lanjut, berdasarkan pengakuan pelaku, kelompok pemburu tersebut diduga beranggotakan 8 orang. Selain itu, 5 orang lainnya yang melarikan diri, termasuk pimpinan kelompok berinisial MS, kini menjadi target buruan utama. “MS merupakan residivis kasus perburuan liar dan telah lama menjadi target operasi Ditjen Gakkum Kemenhut,” ungkap Aswin, Kamis (18/12/2025).

Selanjutnya, Aswin membeberkan motif kejahatan ini. Rupanya, kelompok pemburu liar tersebut diduga berulang kali memburu satwa dilindungi, khususnya rusa timor, yang merupakan satwa kunci ekosistem TN Komodo. Kronologi teror ini bermula pada Minggu (14/12/2025) dini hari, sekitar pukul 02.30 WITA. Pada saat itu, tim gabungan yang terdiri dari Balai Gakkumhut, Ditpolair Korpolairud Baharkam Polri, Ditpolairud Polda NTT, Satreskrim Polres Manggarai Barat, dan Balai TN Komodo mendeteksi sebuah kapal kayu mencurigakan di perairan sekitar Loh Serikaya, Pulau Komodo.

Begitu kapal mencurigakan itu terlihat, tim segera melakukan upaya penghentian dan pemeriksaan. Akan tetapi, kapal tersebut sama sekali tidak mengindahkan peringatan dan justru memacu mesin untuk melarikan diri. Bahkan, para pelaku dengan nekat melakukan perlawanan bersenjata dengan cara menembaki tim operasi. “Saat dilakukan upaya penghentian dan pemeriksaan, kapal tersebut tidak mengindahkan peringatan dan justru melarikan diri. Pelaku bahkan melakukan perlawanan bersenjata dengan menembaki tim,” ujar Aswin.

Menghadapi situasi kritis itu, tim gabungan tetap menunjukkan profesionalisme tinggi. Aswin menegaskan, “Personel memberikan tembakan peringatan untuk menghentikan perlawanan dan mencegah jatuhnya korban, namun pelaku tetap melawan sehingga dilakukan tindakan penegakan hukum lanjutan.” Kontak senjata yang seru pun tidak terhindarkan dan berlanjut hingga perairan Selat Sape, Kabupaten Bima, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat.

Karena para pelaku terus-menerus melakukan perlawanan dan berupaya melarikan diri, tim gabungan tidak memiliki pilihan lain. Akhirnya, speed boat yang digunakan kelompok pemburu berhasil dilumpuhkan. Kapal itu kemudian pecah dan akhirnya tenggelam di lokasi kejadian, mengakhiri aksi kejar-kejaran yang mencekam di laut.
