Sementara itu, Sky News mengungkapkan sebuah fakta mengerikan: sebagian besar korban tewas ternyata meninggal akibat tembakan peluru tajam dan peluru karet yang dilepaskan dari jarak sangat dekat. Di Ibu Kota Teheran, stasiun televisi pemerintah sendiri sempat menayangkan puluhan kantong jenazah yang teronggok di kantor koroner. Akan tetapi, aksi damai tersebut telah bertransformasi menjadi tantangan paling besar dan paling serius bagi rezim dalam kurun waktu beberapa tahun terakhir.
Lalu, bagaimana respons pemimpin mereka? Di tengah gejolak tersebut, Presiden Iran Masoud Pezeshkian akhirnya buka suara! Dalam wawancara eksklusif dengan media nasional, Pezeshkian langsung menuding bahwa aksi kekerasan di Iran sebenarnya dilakukan oleh oknum-oknum tertentu yang memiliki kaitan erat dengan kekuatan asing. Dengan tegas, ia menuduh pihak-pihak tersebut telah membunuh warga sipil, membakar tempat ibadah, serta merusak fasilitas publik. “Musuh-musuh Iran sedang mencoba menabur kekacauan dan ketidaktertiban dengan memerintahkan kerusuhan,” seru Pezeshkian.
Namun, di balik tudingan itu, ada sedikit janji. Presiden Pezeshkian juga menegaskan bahwa pemerintahnya siap mendengarkan suara hati rakyat. Selain itu, ia berkomitmen untuk serius menyelesaikan persoalan ekonomi yang menjadi pemicu awal keresahan ini. Di akhir pernyataannya, Pezeshkian menyerukan agar masyarakat segera menjauh dari kelompok yang ia sebut sebagai ‘perusuh dan teroris’, yang menurutnya berusaha keras menghancurkan struktur masyarakat Iran.
