Desapenari.id, JAKARTA — Pengusaha Ketar-Ketir Filipina Setop Ekspor Nikel Indonesia. Forum Industri Nikel Indonesia (FINI) menegaskan bahwa rencana Filipina melarang ekspor nikel mulai Juni 2025 berpotensi memicu kelangkaan stok dan lonjakan harga. Meski belum final, pemerintah Filipina saat ini sedang mempercepat ratifikasi RUU larangan ekspor nikel untuk mendorong pengembangan industri hilir pertambangan, termasuk pembangunan smelter.
Ketua Umum FINI Arif Perdana Kusumah menyatakan, pihaknya terus memantau perkembangan isu ini dan menganalisis dampaknya secara mendalam. Menurutnya, larangan ekspor nikel oleh Filipina akan memukul industri Indonesia karena selama ini Indonesia masih mengimpor nikel dari negara tersebut.
“Jika kebijakan ini benar-benar diterapkan, dampaknya akan sangat signifikan. Mulai dari terganggunya pasokan bahan baku bijih nikel di dalam negeri, penurunan stok nikel global, hingga kenaikan harga, termasuk harga nikel Indonesia,” jelas Arif kepada Bisnis, Senin (12/5/2025).
Faktanya, meski Indonesia sudah lebih dulu melarang ekspor nikel mentah dan mewajibkan pengolahan dalam negeri, impor nikel dari Filipina tetap tinggi. Data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) menunjukkan, impor nikel Indonesia dari Filipina pada Februari 2025 mencapai 110.950 ton senilai US$4,45 juta.
Sementara itu, sepanjang 2024, impor nikel dari Filipina melonjak drastis menjadi 10,18 juta ton (US445,09juta),jauhlebihtinggidibandingtahun2023yanghanya374.453,9ton(US445,09juta),jauhlebihtinggidibandingtahun2023yanghanya374.453,9ton(US16 juta). Secara total, impor nikel Indonesia dari Filipina dalam tiga tahun terakhir mencapai 10,66 juta ton senilai US$465,54 juta.
Arif mengingatkan, pemerintah harus segera mengambil langkah antisipasi untuk menghadapi dampak kebijakan Filipina. Ia menekankan pentingnya menjaga keseimbangan antara ketersediaan bahan baku dan rencana produksi smelter di Tanah Air.
“Ke depan, produk olahan nikel dan turunannya dari Indonesia harus tetap kompetitif di pasar global,” tegas Arif.
Filipina saat ini merupakan pemasok bijih nikel terbesar kedua di dunia, dengan mayoritas ekspornya ditujukan ke China. Pemerintah Filipina mendorong perusahaan tambangnya berinvestasi di fasilitas pengolahan, bukan hanya mengekspor bijih mentah.
Langkah ini terinspirasi dari kesuksesan Indonesia sebagai produsen nikel terbesar dunia. Setelah melarang ekspor bijih nikel pada 2020, nilai ekspor nikel Indonesia melesat dari US3miliarmenjadiUS3miliarmenjadiUS30 miliar dalam dua tahun, berkat investasi smelter dari perusahaan-perusahaan China.
Presiden Senat Filipina Francis Escudero menyatakan, negaranya bisa mencontoh Indonesia dalam meningkatkan nilai tambah sumber daya mineral.
“Filipina sebenarnya kaya sumber daya, tapi sering dianggap miskin karena belum optimal mengelolanya,” ujarnya.
Dengan ancaman ini, industri nikel Indonesia harus bersiap menghadapi gejolak pasokan dan harga. Pemerintah dan pelaku usaha perlu berkolaborasi agar daya saing produk nikel Indonesia tetap terjaga di kancah global.
