Desapenari.id – Akhirnya, momen yang ditunggu-tunggu pun tiba! PT KAI Commuter bersama PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) dengan bangga meluncurkan layanan terbarunya, yaitu Kereta Petani dan Pedagang di lintas Rangkasbitung–Merak. Secara khusus, layanan inovatif ini dirancang untuk mendongkrak aktivitas ekonomi masyarakat, terutama para petani dan pedagang di wilayah Banten, sehingga mereka bisa dengan mudah melakukan perjalanan untuk berjualan ke Jakarta. Selain itu, VP Corporate Secretary KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, menegaskan bahwa inovasi ini merupakan bagian dari komitmen perusahaan untuk memperluas akses transportasi publik bagi semua lapisan masyarakat. “Layanan kereta petani dan pedagang ini merupakan inovasi transportasi yang dekat dengan kebutuhan nyata masyarakat, sekaligus terobosan terbaru dari KAI Group,” jelas Karina dalam keterangan tertulis, Sabtu (1/11/2025). Lebih lanjut, Karina mengungkapkan bahwa kereta khusus Petani dan Pedagang ini akan terintegrasi langsung dengan KA Commuter Line Merak atau KA Lokal Merak.
Hebatnya lagi, desain kereta ini benar-benar dipikirkan untuk kenyamanan penggunanya! Secara sengaja, pihak KAI mendesain sarana kereta ini dengan menyesuaikan kebutuhan para penumpangnya. Sebagai contoh, mereka menyusun tempat duduk sejajar dengan dinding di sisi kiri dan kanan, yang secara langsung akan memudahkan penumpang untuk menempatkan hasil tani atau barang dagangan di depannya dengan aman. Tidak hanya itu, pintu kereta pun sengaja mereka buat lebih lebar agar proses keluar masuk barang bawaan menjadi jauh lebih lancar. “Seluruh fasilitas sudah sesuai dengan standar pelayanan minimum yang berlaku,” tegas Karina. Dengan demikian, semua fitur ini dipastikan akan memberikan pengalaman berangkat yang lebih nyaman dan efisien.
Yang paling mencengangkan, kereta ini akan melayani hingga 14 perjalanan Commuter Line Merak setiap harinya, lho! Bahkan, kereta dengan kapasitas 73 tempat duduk ini secara khusus ditujukan bagi masyarakat di Serang, Pandeglang, Lebak, dan sekitarnya, sehingga mereka bisa lebih leluasa menjajakan hasil bumi maupun dagangannya ke berbagai wilayah. “Kereta khusus ini akan beroperasi sebanyak 14 kali perjalanan dari Merak ke Rangkasbitung atau sebaliknya, dengan pemberhentian di seluruh stasiun lintas tersebut,” paparnya. Selanjutnya, Karina menambahkan bahwa perjalanan Commuter Line Merak tetap hanya sampai Stasiun Rangkasbitung dengan satu kelas, yakni kelas ekonomi (K3) yang telah disubsidi oleh pemerintah.
Lalu, bagaimana jika ingin lanjut ke Jakarta? Tenang, KAI sudah memikirkan solusinya! Karina menjelaskan bahwa untuk petani dan pedagang yang ingin melanjutkan perjalanan ke Jakarta, mereka dapat menggunakan Commuter Line Rangkasbitung–Tanah Abang. Akan tetapi, KAI Commuter memberlakukan pembatasan barang bawaan pada lintasan Jabodetabek. Sebagai informasi, barang bawaan dalam jumlah besar hanya diperbolehkan pada keberangkatan Commuter Line pertama dari Stasiun Rangkasbitung menuju Jakarta. Oleh karena itu, para penumpang diharapkan dapat memahami dan menyesuaikan dengan peraturan ini.
Terakhir, untuk pengoperasian dan jadwal Kereta Petani dan Pedagang ini, Karina menyebutkan bahwa pihaknya masih melakukan penyusunan regulasinya bersama Direktorat Jenderal Perkeretaapian (DJKA) Kementerian Perhubungan. “Kami terus berkoordinasi dengan DJKA untuk memastikan semua aspek, baik fasilitas layanan, teknis, maupun regulasi siap, sehingga layanan ini benar-benar bisa menjadi solusi nyata bagi masyarakat,” pungkas Karina. Akhirnya, dengan semua persiapan yang matang, layanan ini diharapkan dapat segera dioperasikan untuk mendukung perekonomian masyarakat Banten.
