Desapenari.id – Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) baru saja membongkar sebuah peristiwa mencemaskan. Mereka mengonfirmasi terjadinya kebakaran hutan dan lahan (karhutla) di Kabupaten Ketapang, Kalimantan Barat. Lebih mengejutkan lagi, si jago merah ini ternyata telah melahap lahan seluas 14,3 hektar hanya dalam hitungan jam pada Minggu (25/1/2026) siang. Abdul Muhari, Kepala Pusat Data, Informasi dan Komunikasi Kebencanaan BNPB, dengan tegas menyatakan bahwa titik awal kobaran api terdeteksi sekitar pukul 14.00 WIB. Secara khusus, informasi awal ini langsung diterima BNPB dari mata-mata mereka di lapangan, yaitu Pusat Pengendalian Operasi (Pusdalops) yang selama ini aktif memantau segala kejadian bencana di daerah.
“Kebakaran tersebut terjadi pada Minggu (25/1/2026) sekitar pukul 14.00 WIB,” tegas Abdul Muhari dalam keterangan resminya di Jakarta, Senin (26/1/2026). Tak hanya berkobar di satu titik, api ternyata dengan ganasnya menyebar ke empat desa sekaligus yang tersebar di tiga kecamatan berbeda di Kabupaten Ketapang. Sebagai gambaran, desa-desa yang menjadi korban keganasan api ini meliputi Desa Sungai Awan di Kecamatan Muara Pawan, lalu merambah ke Desa Kuala dan Desa Kuala Satong di Kecamatan Matan Hilir Utara, serta tak lupa Desa Sungai Nanjung di Kecamatan Matan Hilir Selatan.
Lantas, apa saja dampak mengerikan dari kebakaran hutan dan lahan di Ketapang ini? Pertama-tama, BNPB mencatat luas lahan yang habis terbakar mencapai sekitar 14,3 hektare. Namun, ada sedikit “keberuntungan” karena lahan yang terbakar merupakan lahan mineral, bukan lahan gambut yang terkenal lebih sulit dipadamkan. Meskipun demikian, kita sama sekali tidak boleh merasa lega. Pasalnya, hingga berita ini diturunkan, belum ada laporan korban jiwa, tetapi karhutla ini jelas menimbulkan kekhawatiran serius di kalangan warga dan aparat karena potensinya untuk meluas sangat besar. Selain itu, bencana ini sudah pasti akan berdampak buruk pada lingkungan sekitar.
Tanpa basa-basi, karhutla seperti ini langsung membawa ancaman nyata. Risiko utamanya adalah menyebabkan gangguan kualitas udara yang parah, lalu menurunkan jarak pandang secara drastis, serta pasti mengganggu aktivitas sehari-hari masyarakat. Tak berhenti di situ, kebakaran hutan dan lahan juga secara langsung merusak ekosistem yang telah terbangun puluhan tahun, mengganggu dan menghancurkan habitat satwa langka, serta berpotensi memperparah krisis lingkungan jika kita tidak segera mengendalikannya. Sebagai informasi, di wilayah Kalimantan Barat, karhutla memang selalu menjadi ancaman yang harus diwaspadai, terutama pada periode dengan curah hujan rendah. Alhasil, kondisi lahan yang kering itu dapat dengan mudah memicu api untuk menyebar lebih cepat, terlebih jika angin kencang ikut mendukung.
Di tengah situasi kritis ini, BNPB justru memastikan bahwa upaya pemadaman telah mereka lakukan dengan sigap melalui tim gabungan di lapangan. Yang patut diapresiasi, tim tersebut berhasil dikoordinasikan dengan sangat baik oleh Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) Kabupaten Ketapang dengan melibatkan semua unsur terkait. “Tim gabungan juga terus berkoordinasi secara intensif untuk memastikan api dapat dikendalikan dan tidak meluas ke wilayah lain,” papar Abdul Muhari dengan penuh keyakinan. Dengan kata lain, semua pihak sedang berjuang mati-matian agar kobaran api tidak melahap lebih banyak wilayah lagi. Pada akhirnya, kewaspadaan dan kerja sama kita semua menjadi kunci utama menghadapi bencana ini.
