GEORGIA, Desapenari.id — Seorang tentara Angkatan Darat Amerika Serikat (AS) membuat geger setelah nekat menembak lima rekan satu unitnya di Pangkalan Militer Fort Stewart, Georgia, Rabu (6/8/2025). Aksi brutal ini langsung memicu kepanikan, dan pihak berwajib langsung bergerak cepat menyelidiki kasus ini.

Korban Selamat, Pelaku Langsung Diringkus

Tim medis segera membawa lima tentara yang menjadi korban ke rumah sakit dengan luka tembak. Kabar baiknya, kondisi mereka sekarang stabil—tiga di antaranya bahkan sudah menjalani operasi. Rekan-rekan Radford langsung bertindak cepat, melumpuhkannya sebelum korban bertambah.

“Prajurit lain bereaksi cepat, menghentikan pelaku sebelum lebih banyak korban berjatuhan,” tegas Brigadir Jenderal John Lubas, komandan Divisi Infanteri ke-3, dalam konferensi pers. Saat ini, pihak militer menahan Radford sambil menunggu proses hukum lebih lanjut.

Yang menarik perhatian, Radford menggunakan pistol pribadi—bukan senjata dinas militer—untuk melukai kawan seunitnya. Padahal, aturan di Fort Stewart sangat ketat soal larangan membawa senjata api.
