Remaja Meninggal Ditembak Kapolres Belawan Saat Tawuran di Medan
Medan, desapenari.id – Seorang remaja berusia 15 tahun meninggal dunia setelah tertembak dalam upaya pembubaran tawuran oleh Kapolres Pelabuhan Belawan, AKBP Oloan Siahaan. Kejadian ini terjadi di Jalan Tol Belmera, Medan, Sumatera Utara (Sumut), Senin (5/5). Korban, berinisial MS, mengalami luka tembak di bagian perut dan dinyatakan tidak tertolong setelah mendapat perawatan di RS Bhayangkara Medan.
Kapolda Sumut Sampaikan Belasungkawa
Kapolda Sumut, Irjen Pol Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, menyampaikan belasungkawa atas meninggalnya MS. “Saya atas nama Kapolda Sumut dan jajaran turut berduka cita atas kepergian adik kita yang terkena peluru,” ujarnya. Sementara itu, Kabid Humas Polda Sumut, Kombes Pol Ferry Walintukan, menjelaskan bahwa situasi memburuk saat polisi berusaha membubarkan tawuran.
“Kami telah memberikan tembakan peringatan, tetapi massa tidak bubar dan malah menyerang. Kami memohon maaf karena tidak menginginkan hal ini terjadi,” kata Ferry.
Kronologi Insiden Tawuran dan Penembakan
Insiden ini bermula ketika Polres Pelabuhan Belawan menerima laporan tawuran antar-pemuda di simpang Kantor Camat Belawan pada Sabtu (3/5) malam. Kapolres AKBP Oloan Siahaan langsung memimpin apel antisipasi dan berjaga di Posko Berkawan hingga dini hari.
Saat patroli di Tol Belmera, AKBP Oloan menemukan puluhan pemuda bersenjata celurit dan kelewang sedang tawuran. Mobil dinasnya menyalakan lampu peringatan, namun massa justru menghadang. AKBP Oloan turun dan memerintahkan mereka bubar, tetapi kelompok tersebut malah menyerang dengan kelewang dan melemparkan batu serta mercon.
Setelah tiga kali tembakan peringatan tidak diindahkan, AKBP Oloan terpaksa melepaskan tembakan terarah. Dua remaja, MS dan B, terkena tembakan—MS di perut dan B di tangan. MS kemudian meninggal di rumah sakit.
20 Orang Ditangkap, 14 Positif Narkoba
Setelah kejadian, polisi melakukan penyisiran dan menangkap 20 orang yang diduga terlibat tawuran. Hasil tes urine menunjukkan 14 di antaranya positif menggunakan narkoba jenis ganja. Mereka masih menjalani pemeriksaan intensif untuk mengungkap keterlibatan lebih lanjut.
Respons Publik dan Pertanyaan soal Penggunaan Senjata Api
Insiden ini memicu pro-kontra di masyarakat. Sebagian pihak mempertanyakan perlunya tembakan mematikan dalam membubarkan tawuran, sementara yang lain memahami tindakan polisi karena terancam senjata tajam.
Pakar hukum pidana dari Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Dr. Ahmad Yani, SH, MH, mengatakan bahwa polisi memiliki kewenangan menggunakan senjata api jika nyawanya terancam. “investigasi independen sesuai (SOP) ,” jelasnya.
Upaya Mediasi dan Pencegahan Tawuran
Kapolda Sumut menyatakan akan meningkatkan patroli dan pendekatan preemtif untuk mencegah tawuran berulang. “Kami akan berkoordinasi dengan pemangku kepentingan, termasuk sekolah dan orang tua, untuk mengawasi aktivitas remaja,” tegas Whisnu.
Sementara itu, keluarga MS mendesak penyelidikan transparan. “Kami ingin keadilan, tapi juga tidak ingin ada korban lagi,” kata salah satu kerabat korban.
Kesimpulan
Tragedi ini menyisakan duka sekaligus menjadi peringatan tentang bahaya tawuran dan pentingnya penegakan hukum yang proporsional. Polda Sumut berjanji menindak tegas pelaku kekerasan sekaligus mengevaluasi prosedur penggunaan senjata api.
