Kehadiran mereka langsung membuat para preman ketakutan. Tanpa perlawanan, para pelaku hanya menunduk pasrah saat dibawa ke kantor polisi. Wajah sangar yang biasa mereka pamerkan pun langsung hilang seketika.
Operasi Besar-Besaran di Serang
Sejak 1 hingga 10 Mei 2025, aparat kepolisian melancarkan operasi besar-besaran untuk memberantas aksi premanisme di Kabupaten Serang, Banten. Gabungan personel Polres Serang dan Satuan Brimob Polda Banten berhasil mengamankan 66 orang terduga preman. Mereka menyasar kawasan rawan seperti wilayah industri Cikande dan Terminal Nikomas, yang selama ini kerap menjadi lokasi pungutan liar (pungli), perebutan lahan parkir, hingga praktik calo tenaga kerja.
Kapolres Serang, AKBP Condro Sasongko, memimpin langsung penyisiran di sejumlah titik rawan. Begitu melihat Brimob membawa senjata laras panjang, para preman langsung panik dan berhamburan melarikan diri. “Kami ingin memastikan keamanan bagi masyarakat, terutama pekerja yang sering jadi korban pemalakan dan pungli,” tegas Condro, Selasa (13/5/2025).
Kasat Reskrim Polres Serang, AKP Andi Kurniady, menegaskan bahwa aparat kini sedang memproses hukum 13 orang dari total 66 terduga preman yang berhasil diamankan. Mereka menindak tegas pelaku calo tenaga kerja, pelaku intimidasi, dan penipuan. Sementara itu, polisi memberikan pembinaan kepada sisanya agar tidak mengulangi tindakan kriminal.“Meski operasi resmi sudah selesai, kami tetap membuka laporan masyarakat. Premanisme tidak boleh hidup lagi,” tegas Andi.
Terminal Nikomas Kembali Aman
Terminal Nikomas, salah satu lokasi rawan, kini mulai bersih dari aksi premanisme. Sopir angkot yang sebelumnya kerap jadi korban pemalakan mengaku lega karena tak ada lagi yang berani memaksa pungutan liar. “Kami pastikan Terminal Nikomas bebas dari preman dan pungli. Kami mendorong sopir berani melapor tanpa takut,” ujar Condro.
Sebagai langkah pencegahan, polisi juga membuka layanan pengaduan aktif bagi masyarakat dan menjamin perlindungan penuh bagi para pelapor. Dengan operasi ini, diharapkan keamanan dan ketertiban di Banten semakin membaik.
