Yeyen Tumena, Direktur Teknik Malut United, juga mengakui dampak positif VAR. “Sebagai klub debutan, kami merasakan fairness lebih terjaga,” ujarnya. Namun, ia mengkritik lamanya proses pengambilan keputusan. “Pemain bisa diam 4-6 menit menunggu VAR. Kalau bisa lebih cepat, intensitas pertandingan tidak terganggu,” sarannya.
Wasit Asing dan Struktur Jadwal Jadi Poin Plus
Selain VAR, kehadiran wasit asing di laga-laga krusial turut mendapat sorotan. Langkah ini dinilai mengurangi kontroversi keputusan wasit lokal. Sementara itu, penataan jadwal yang rapi membuat klub lebih mudah menyusun strategi. “Kami bisa fokus tanpa khawatir jadwal tiba-tiba berubah,” kata Azrul.
Optimisme Menuju Liga Top ASEAN
Azrul dan Yeyen sepakat, perubahan musim ini adalah fondasi penting. “Jika konsisten, Liga 1 bisa bersaing dengan liga top ASEAN seperti Thailand atau Vietnam,” ujar Azrul. Yeyen menambahkan, “Dengan penyempurnaan di beberapa aspek, seperti kecepatan VAR, saya yakin Liga 1 akan semakin diminati.”
Meski banyak pujian, para pemilik klub berharap perbaikan terus dilakukan. Efisiensi VAR, konsistensi wasit asing, dan transparansi aturan menjadi pekerjaan rumah ke depan. “Kami apresiasi progresnya, tapi jangan berpuas diri,” tandas Azrul.
