TOKYO, Desapenari.id – Polisi Tokyo berhasil menangkap seorang pria berusia 28 tahun pada Rabu (16/7/2025) karena diduga nekat membakar gokart yang sering dipakai turis asing. Menurut laporan CNA, tersangka kini menghadapi tuduhan percobaan pembakaran.
Api Mulai dari Pembakaran Sampah
Awalnya, polisi mengungkapkan bahwa pria tersebut membakar sampah di dekat lokasi rental gokart pada Juni lalu. Tanpa diduga, api dengan cepat merambat dan melahap beberapa gokart yang sedang diparkir di area tersebut. Tidak hanya kendaraan, dinding sekitar juga ikut terbakar. Namun, petugas berhasil memadamkan kobaran api sebelum merusak lebih parah.
Tersangka Kesal karena Suara Bising
Menurut investigasi NHK, tersangka mengaku kalau dirinya sudah lama terganggu dengan suara mesin gokart yang berisik. Lokasi kerjanya ternyata persis bersebelahan dengan tempat rental tersebut, membuatnya semakin jengkel.
Surat Ancaman Sudah Beredar Sebelumnya
Sebelum kejadian, operator tur gokart sempat menerima surat ancaman pada Mei lalu. Isinya cukup mengerikan: “Akan membakar gokart jika mesin masih dinyalakan setelah besok.” Polisi kini sedang mengecek apakah surat itu benar-benar dikirim oleh tersangka atau ada pihak lain yang terlibat.
