Setelah Tiga Hari, Turis Inggris yang Hilang Terseret Arus di Legian Ditemukan Tewas

MANGUPURA, Desapenari.id – Dalam sebuah operasi yang menegangkan, tim SAR gabungan akhirnya berhasil menemukan Warga Negara Asing (WNA) asal Inggris yang sebelumnya dilaporkan tenggelam dan terseret arus di Pantai Legian, Bali. Sayangnya, kabar yang dibawa pada Jumat (26/9/2025) itu adalah kabar duka, karena korban ditemukan dalam keadaan telah meninggal dunia. Pencarian yang berlangsung selama tiga hari ini benar-benar menyita perhatian banyak pihak.

Memasuki hari ketiga pencarian, tim SAR gabungan semakin memperluas area penyisiran. Mereka kemudian mengerahkan satu unit rubber boat dan dua unit jetski untuk menyisir wilayah perairan secara lebih detail, dimulai dari perairan Pantai Kelan hingga kembali ke sekitar lokasi kejadian awal. Sementara itu, untuk memastikan tidak ada titik yang terlewat, Search Rescue Unit (SRU) darat juga aktif berpatroli di sepanjang bibir pantai dengan bergerak menuju arah utara.

Pada pukul 11.20 WITA, semangat tim SAR kembali membara ketika mereka melanjutkan pencarian menggunakan jetski di perairan Pantai Legian. Namun, usaha tersebut ternyata belum membuahkan hasil yang diharapkan. Begitu pula dengan unit SRU laut yang dengan teliti menyisir area dari arah Kelan; mereka juga belum menemukan titik terang mengenai keberadaan korban. Suasana hati para pencari mulai diwarnai kecemasan, tetapi mereka sama sekali tidak menyerah.

Akhirnya, setelah melalui berbagai usaha yang melelahkan, pencarian pada sorti berikutnya membawa angin segar. Dengan penuh ketelitian, tim SAR berhasil menemukan korban yang telah mereka cari selama ini. Momen penemuan ini sekaligus menjadi titik balik dari operasi penyelamatan yang telah berlangsung intensif.

Kepala Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Denpasar, I Nyoman Sidakarya, membenarkan keberhasilan ini dengan menyatakan, “Kami berhasil menemukan warga negara Inggris tersebut pada pukul 12.30 WITA, berkat kerja sama tim SAR gabungan. Untuk mengevakuasi korban, kami menggunakan jetski milik Balawista.” Evakuasi pun langsung dilakukan dengan cepat dan hati-hati untuk membawa korban menuju daratan.

Selanjutnya, jenazah korban segera dibawa untuk mendapatkan penanganan lebih lanjut di RSUP Prof Ngoerah. Tim medis sudah bersiap-siap di rumah sakit untuk menerima kedatangan korban. Lokasi penemuan jenazah sendiri berada pada koordinat 08°42’04.58″S – 115°8’56.11″T, yang menariknya, posisinya ternyata berjarak sekitar 1 Km arah barat laut dari titik lokasi ia pertama kali terseret arus. Hal ini menunjukkan betapa kuatnya arus laut pada hari kejadian.

Ciri-ciri fisik korban yang sangat mencolok dan memudahkan identifikasi adalah ia masih mengenakan celana berwarna oranye terang. Pakaian inilah yang menjadi petunjuk visual utama bagi tim pencari di tengah luasnya lautan. Tidak heran jika kemudian petugas dapat mengenalinya dari kejauhan.

Begitu kabar penemuan tersiar, pihak keluarga korban bersama dengan Kepala Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Denpasar, serta didampingi oleh Kasi Operasi dan Siaga, segera bergegas menuju RSUP Prof Ngoerah. Tujuan utama mereka adalah untuk melakukan konfirmasi identitas jenazah. Suasana haru dan tegang jelas terlihat menyelimuti perjalanan mereka menuju rumah sakit.

Setelah mendapatkan izin resmi dari pihak rumah sakit untuk melihat jenazah, proses identifikasi pun dilakukan. Akhirnya, terkonfirmasilah bahwa jenazah yang berhasil ditemukan oleh tim SAR adalah Harrison Edward Nada Kontounas (23), warga negara Inggris yang menjadi korban musibah tersebut. Konfirmasi ini sekaligus mengakhiri masa pencarian yang penuh ketidakpastian.

Perlu diapresiasi bahwa operasi SAR selama tiga hari ini melibatkan banyak unsur yang bekerja sama dengan sangat solid. Unsur-unsur tersebut berasal dari Kantor Pencarian dan Pertolongan Denpasar, Balawista, Polair, Ditsamapta Polda Bali, serta nelayan setempat yang dengan sukarela turun langsung membantu. Kerja sama semua pihak inilah yang pada akhirnya membawa operasi ini kepada titik terang.
