Desapenari.id – Pada sebuah pagi yang seharusnya dipenuhi tawa dan keceriaan, Minggu (12/10/2025) lalu, malang justru menyambut empat pemuda asal Surabaya di Pantai Modangan, Malang. Bukannya membawa kenangan indah, gelombang ganas pantai itu justru menyambar mereka tanpa ampun. Akibatnya, suasana liburan yang riang itu seketika berubah menjadi lautan kepanikan dan tangis. Dengan cepat, kabar duka ini menyebar dan membuat hati siapa pun yang mendengarnya merasa pilu. Sungguh, insiden mengerikan ini menjadi pengingat bagi kita semua tentang betapa tak terduganya alam.
Melalui penjelasan Kepala Polsek Donomulyo, AKP Gunawan Marsudi, kita akhirnya mengetahui kronologi dan nasib keempat korban. Beliau dengan tegas menyatakan bahwa dari empat orang tersebut, hanya satu orang yang berhasil diselamatkan, yaitu Muhammad Zulfikar Maulana (23). Sayangnya, kabar buruk harus menyusul karena satu korban lainnya, Rinaldy Hidayat (23), ditemukan dalam kondisi tak bernyawa. Sementara itu, nasib dua korban lain, Rafi Naoufal (26) dan Muhammad Mahin (18), masih menjadi misteri yang mencekam karena hingga detik ini mereka belum ditemukan. Sebagai informasi, semua korban ternyata berasal dari lingkungan yang sama, yaitu Kelurahan Simolawang, Surabaya, yang membuat musibah ini terasa lebih menyayat bagi warga setempat.
Lebih lanjut, AKP Gunawan membeberkan bahwa sebenarnya keempat korban ini merupakan bagian dari rombongan besar Karang Taruna yang berjumlah 26 orang. Mereka sengaja datang untuk menikmati indahnya Pantai Modangan. Namun, siapa sangka, bencana justru mengintai di balik pesona ombaknya. Menjelang pukul 08.00 WIB, tanpa merasa curiga, sebanyak 12 orang dari rombongan itu memutuskan untuk masuk ke dalam air. Padahal, pihak pengelola pantai sudah memberikan peringatan keras kepada mereka tentang bahaya yang mengancam. Akan tetapi, sayangnya, peringatan tersebut sama sekali tidak mereka hiraukan dan mereka tetap nekat menerjang ombak.
Tidak lama setelah itu, tepatnya sekitar 20 menit kemudian, malapetaka yang ditakutkan akhirnya tiba. Tiba-tiba saja, tiga orang dari mereka diseret ombak kuat langsung ke tengah lautan lepas! Melihat kondisi temannya dalam bahaya, satu orang lainnya yang berada di pinggir pun berusaha menjadi pahlawan dengan memberanikan diri menolong. Namun, alih-alih bisa menyelamatkan, ia justru ikut terseret oleh amukan ombak yang kejam. Pada momen kritis ini, suasana panik langsung menyelimuti seluruh pantai. Untungnya, seberkas harapan muncul ketika nelayan setempat dengan sigap berhasil menyelamatkan satu nyawa, Muhammad Zulfikar Maulana, dari cengkeraman gelombang.
Sayangnya, keberhasilan penyelamatan itu harus dibayar mahal dengan kabar duka yang datang kemudian. Sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB, tim penyelamat berhasil menemukan Rinaldy Hidayat dalam keadaan yang sangat menyedihkan. Korban malang ini ditemukan terjepit di sela-sela karang tajam dan sudah tidak bernyawa lagi. Pemandangan menyedihkan ini tentu saja menambah duka mendalam bagi keluarga dan rekan-rekannya.
