MEDAN, Desapenari.id – ABK WNI di Kapal Malaysia Ditangkap di Selat, Simak Alasannya!. Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan (KKP) membongkar fakta mengejutkan: tujuh anak buah kapal (ABK) asal Indonesia yang bekerja di kapal Malaysia tertangkap basah melakukan penangkapan ikan ilegal di Selat Malaka. Ternyata, mereka terpikat oleh iming-iming gaji menggiurkan yang jauh lebih tinggi daripada upah biasa.
Menurut Direktur Jenderal Pengawasan Sumber Daya Kelautan dan Perikanan (PSDKP), Pung Nugroho Saksono, awalnya ketujuh ABK ini berangkat dari Tanjung Balai, Asahan, menggunakan kapal Indonesia. Namun, mereka kemudian beralih secara ilegal ke kapal Malaysia untuk mencari penghasilan lebih besar.
“Berdasarkan pengakuan ABK, mereka bahkan membayar oknum tertentu sekitar Rp 1-2 juta untuk bisa bekerja di kapal asing itu,” ungkap Nugroho saat ditemui di Pelabuhan Bandar Deli, Belawan, Kamis (29/5/2025).
Nugroho membeberkan, gaji ABK di kapal Malaysia memang jauh lebih tinggi. Rata-rata, mereka digaji Rp 5 juta per bulan, sedangkan nakhodanya bisa mendapatkan Rp 10 juta.
“Jelas, mereka tergiur karena bayarannya jauh lebih besar daripada bekerja di kapal lokal,” tegasnya.
Saat ini, KKP masih menyelidiki jaringan di balik kasus ini, termasuk mencari tahu siapa penghubung dan pemilik kapal tersebut.
Sebelumnya, KKP juga berhasil meringkus dua kapal Malaysia lainnya yang kedapatan menangkap ikan secara ilegal di perairan Indonesia. Kapal Pengawas (KP) Hiu 16 berhasil menangkap kedua kapal itu pada Senin (26/6/2025).
“Kedua kapal tersebut sama sekali tidak memiliki izin dari Pemerintah Indonesia dan menggunakan alat tangkap trawl yang merusak lingkungan,” jelas Nugroho dalam keterangan resminya.

Akibat aksi ilegal ini, negara berpotensi rugi hingga Rp 19,9 miliar. Nugroho menegaskan, para ABK WNI ini bekerja tanpa mengikuti prosedur resmi, sehingga melanggar hukum.
Saat ini, kedua kapal tersebut sedang menjalani proses hukum oleh Penyidik Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PPNS) Perikanan Stasiun PSDKP Belawan.
Direktur Pengendalian Operasi Armada, Saiful Umam, mengidentifikasi kedua kapal tersebut sebagai KM SLFA 5210 (43,34 GT) dan KM SLFA 4584 (27,16 GT).
“Di KM SLFA 5210, kami menemukan empat ABK WNI dengan muatan 300 kg ikan campur. Sementara di KM SLFA 4584, ada tiga ABK WNI dengan 150 kg ikan campur,” papar Saiful.
Kepala Stasiun PSDKP Belawan, M Syamsu Rokman, menambahkan bahwa kedua kapal tersebut melanggar UU Nomor 6 Tahun 2023. Pelakunya terancam hukuman maksimal 8 tahun penjara dan denda Rp 1,5 miliar.
“Kedua kapal ini menambah daftar panjang penangkapan Kapal Ikan Asing (KIA) sepanjang 2025. Dari Januari hingga Mei saja, KKP sudah menangkap 13 KIA, terdiri dari 5 kapal Filipina, 3 Malaysia, 4 Vietnam, dan 1 China,” tutupnya.
Kasus ini kembali menyoroti praktik penangkapan ikan ilegal yang masih marak di perairan Indonesia. Meski gaji tinggi menjadi daya tarik, risiko hukum dan kerugian lingkungan jauh lebih besar. KKP pun terus memperketat pengawasan untuk mencegah kejadian serupa terulang.
