BHOPAL, Desapenari.id – Flyover baru di Kota Bhopal, India, tiba-tiba viral bukan karena keindahannya, melainkan karena desainnya yang dinilai membahayakan. Jembatan layang Aishbagh ini punya belokan ekstrem 90 derajat yang langsung memicu sorotan warganet dan pakar. Padahal, proyek senilai 180 juta rupee (sekitar Rp 34 miliar) ini seharusnya jadi solusi kemacetan dengan menghubungkan kawasan Mahamai Ka Bagh, Pushpa Nagar, dan stasiun kereta menuju New Bhopal. Alih-alih dipuji, flyover ini malah jadi bahan kritik pedas dari berbagai pihak, termasuk pemerintah setempat.
7 Insinyur Kena Skorsing, Pemerintah Turun Tangan
Merespons kontroversi ini, Pemerintah Negara Bagian Madhya Pradesh langsung mengambil tindakan tegas. Mereka mengskors tujuh insinyur dari Dinas Pekerjaan Umum (PWD), termasuk dua kepala insinyur. Sementara itu, satu insinyur senior yang sudah pensiun bakal diperiksa lebih lanjut.
“Saya tidak tinggal diam melihat kelalaian serius dalam pembangunan flyover Aishbagh dan langsung memerintahkan investigasi. Yadav juga menegaskan bahwa flyover ini tidak akan diresmikan sebelum semua perbaikan selesai.
Belokan Tajam Bikin Warga Khawatir
Yang bikin publik heboh adalah bentuk belokannya yang ekstrem, mirip huruf “L” dengan sudut 90 derajat.
*”Kami sudah nunggu 10 tahun untuk jembatan ini. Eh, malah dapetnya desain berbahaya. Belokan siku-siku di ketinggian itu jelas berisiko tinggi buat keselamatan,”* protes Aslam, salah seorang warga Aishbagh.
Seorang insinyur yang terlibat dalam proyek—namun enggan menyebutkan namanya—mengungkapkan bahwa tim mereka terpaksa memilih desain belokan tajam ini akibat keterbatasan lahan dan keberadaan stasiun metro di sekitarnya. “Kami sebenarnya bisa membuat belokan lebih melengkung jika memiliki lahan yang cukup,” ujar sang insinyur. Tapi kondisi di lapangan memaksa kami pakai opsi ini,” ujarnya.
Pakar Desak Perubahan Desain: “Ini Cacat Teknis!”
Mantan Kepala Insinyur PWD, VK Amar, menyebut desain flyover ini cacat secara teknis. “Kami seharusnya membuat belokan yang lebih melengkung agar pengemudi memiliki cukup waktu untuk mengantisipasi arah jalan,” tegas Amar. Ini belokannya langsung siku-siku, tanpa peringatan. Sangat berbahaya dan rawan kecelakaan,” tegas Amar.
“Tim perancang harus mengubah belokan tajam ini dengan menambahkan lengkungan minimal 100 meter sebelum titik belok,” usul Amar. Dengan begitu, pengendara bisa lebih waspada.
Menteri Negara Bagian, Vishwas Sarang, bahkan sudah turun langsung ke lokasi pada 14 Juni untuk memeriksa flyover.
Proyek Tertunda 8 Tahun, Hasilnya Malah Bikin Masalah
Flyover Aishbagh sendiri sebenarnya sudah telat pembangunannya selama delapan tahun. Tapi, alih-alih jadi kebanggaan, hasil akhirnya justru memicu masalah keselamatan.
Di sisi lain, Juru Bicara Divisi Kereta Api Bhopal, Nawal Agrawal, menegaskan bahwa tanggung jawab mereka hanya pada bagian jembatan yang melintasi rel kereta.
Saat ini, tim inspeksi dari PWD masih menyelesaikan laporan akhir sekaligus menyiapkan desain perbaikan untuk flyover kontroversial ini.
