LUMAJANG, DesaPenari.id – Bupati Lumajang, Indah Amperawati, tak tinggal diam setelah insiden tragis yang menewaskan dua pengendara motor di Desa Candipuro, Kabupaten Lumajang, Jawa Timur. Kedua korban, warga Desa Tempursari, tewas terjepit di antara dua truk pasir yang antre membayar pajak. Merespons hal ini, Indah langsung memerintahkan pemindahan pos penarikan pajak pasir ke lokasi yang lebih aman.
Lokasi Berbahaya di Tengah Jalan Nasional
Sebelumnya, pos pemungutan pajak pasir ini berdiri tepat di tengah jalan nasional yang menghubungkan Kabupaten Lumajang dan Malang. Bayangkan saja, truk-truk pasir berjubel memenuhi jalan, sementara kendaraan lain terpaksa menyelip di antara antrean yang panjang. Tak heran, banyak pengendara yang nekat menyalip ke jalur lawan arah demi bisa melaju.
Indah mengakui, lokasi tersebut memang rawan kecelakaan. “Iya, posisinya sangat berbahaya karena berada di jalan raya yang padat,” ujarnya di Lumajang, Rabu (4/6/2025). Ia pun tak ingin kejadian serupa terulang.
Pindah ke Kawasan Hutan Jati yang Lebih Aman
Demi keselamatan pengguna jalan, pemerintah kabupaten akhirnya memindahkan pos pajak pasir ke kawasan hutan jati di Desa Sumberejo, Kecamatan Candipuro. “Sekarang lokasinya sudah tidak di jalan raya lagi, tapi masuk ke lahan kosong milik Perhutani,” jelas Indah.
Dengan begitu, truk-truk pasir tidak perlu lagi berhenti di tengah jalan. Mereka bisa masuk ke dalam area khusus untuk proses pembayaran pajak. “Nanti truk masuk dulu ke dalam, baru urus pajaknya. Jadi tidak mengganggu arus lalu lintas,” tambahnya.

Antisipasi Truk Nakal yang Kabur Bayar Pajak
Namun, pemindahan lokasi ini bukan tanpa tantangan. Pemerintah khawatir ada sopir truk nakal yang mencoba kabur tanpa membayar pajak. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, petugas akan berjaga di pintu masuk guna memastikan semua truk pasir mengikuti aturan.
“Kami akan tempatkan petugas di jalan untuk mengarahkan truk-truk agar tidak nyelonong lewat,” tegas Indah. Ia juga menyampaikan duka mendalam kepada keluarga korban. “Kami turut berduka dan berharap kejadian seperti ini tidak terulang lagi.”
Dampak Positif Pemindahan Lokasi
Pemindahan pos pajak ini diharapkan tidak hanya mengurangi risiko kecelakaan, tetapi juga memperlancar arus lalu lintas di jalan nasional. Selama ini, kemacetan kerap terjadi karena truk pasir memblokir jalan. Dengan lokasi baru yang lebih tertata, pengendara lain bisa bernapas lega.
Selain itu, pemerintah juga akan mengevaluasi sistem pemungutan pajak agar lebih efisien. “Kami ingin memastikan semua berjalan lancar, baik dari sisi administrasi maupun keamanan,” pungkas Indah.
