MEDAN, desapenari.com – Seorang pria bernama Scatter (43) ditangkap setelah aksi pembunuhan, Anto (59), di Labuhanbatu Selatan (Labusel), Sumatera Utara, Jumat (13/6/2025).
Pelaku melakukan tindakan keji tersebut setelah panik ketahuan mencuri brondolan sawit di lokasi kejadian.
AKP Endang R Ginting, Kasat Reskrim Polres Labusel, mengungkapkan, “Kasus ini terbongkar setelah keluarga melaporkan korban hilang sejak Kamis (12/6/2025).”
Tim kepolisian melakukan pencarian dan menemukan jenazah korban telungkup di bawah tumpukan pelepah sawit kering, sekitar 100 meter dari kebun tempatnya biasa berjaga.
“Korban kami temukan telungkup di balik pelepah sawit kering, 100 meter dari kebun jaganya,” tulis Endang, Minggu (15/6/2025).
Tim penyelidik menetapkan Scatter sebagai tersangka utama. Pemilik kebun memecat mantan rekan kerja korban ini setelah menangkapnya mencuri sawit.
Polisi menangkap Scatter pada Sabtu (14/6/2025) pukul 13.00 WIB di Dusun Tanjung Beringin, Labusel, tanpa perlawanan.
“Kami mengamankan tersangka di Dusun Tanjung Beringin, Labusel, tanpa perlawanan,” tegas Endang.
Dalam interogasi, Scatter mengakui perbuatannya dan menjelaskan dua alasan di balik tindakannya.
Pemilik kebun memecatnya karena pencurian, lalu korban memergokinya saat ia mencoba mencuri lagi.

Endang menjelaskan kronologi kejadian: “Tersangka mulai aksi sadisnya setelah korban memergoki pencurian sawitnya. Korban lalu menegur dengan kasar dan mendorongnya hingga terjatuh.”
“Tak terima, tersangka mengambil gancu sawit dan menghantam kepala korban berkali-kali, lalu mencekiknya hingga tewas,” tambahnya.
Setelah memastikan korban tewas, Scatter menutupi jenazah korban dengan pelepah sawit dan mengambil barang-barang milik korban, termasuk senapan angin, dompet, dan dua unit handphone.
Pelaku menyembunyikan satu unit handphone dan membawa pulang unit lainnya untuk digadaikan.
Polisi mengamankan gancu sawit senjata pembunuh beserta barang bukti pendukung.
Polres Labusel kini menahan Scatter untuk proses hukum lebih lanjut.
“Kami menjerat tersangka dengan Pasal 338 KUHP subsider Pasal 365 ayat 3 KUHP terkait pembunuhan dan pencurian dengan kekerasan yang berakibat kematian,” jelas Endang.
