SIDOARJO, Desapenari.id – PT. Tedmonindo Pratama Semesta, produsen tandon air di Kecamatan Candi, Sidoarjo, melakukan pelanggaran serius. Perusahaan tersebut menahan ijazah puluhan karyawannya dan memaksa mereka membayar tebusan Rp6,5 juta untuk mendapatkan dokumen tersebut kembali.
Sigit Imam Basuki, kuasa hukum para korban tandon sidoarjo, membongkar praktik ini pada Kamis (29/5/2025). Ia menjelaskan, perusahaan seolah menjadikan ijazah sebagai jaminan bagi karyawan yang baru masuk kerja. “Mereka harus menyerahkan ijazah dulu sebelum tanda tangan kontrak,” tegas Sigit.
Dari 68 karyawan, perusahaan masih menahan sekitar 40 ijazah. Hingga saat ini, 15 korban sudah memberanikan diri untuk melapor, termasuk mantan karyawan yang sudah kena PHK namun belum juga mendapatkan ijazah mereka kembali.
Masalahnya tak berhenti di situ. Sigit menuding perusahaan melakukan pemerasan dengan memaksa karyawan membayar Rp6,5 juta demi mendapatkan kembali ijazah mereka. Selain itu, perusahaan juga mewajibkan karyawan menandatangani pernyataan tanggung jawab atas hilangnya matras seberat tiga ton saat libur Lebaran.
“Padahal, karyawan tidak tahu barang itu hilang. “Tapi perusahaan tetap memaksa mereka mengganti rugi,” tegas Sigit. Beberapa karyawan, termasuk petugas keamanan, terpaksa menerima pemotongan gaji Rp250.000 per bulan selama dua tahun. “Ada yang terpaksa tanda tangan, ada yang menolak karena merasa tidak bersalah. Ini jelas indikasi pemerasan,” tegasnya.

Surasa (60), mantan sekuriti yang bekerja sejak 2012, menjadi salah satu korban. Perusahaan memecat Surasa pada April 2025 setelah menuduhnya terlibat dalam kasus kehilangan barang. “Manajemen tiba-tiba mem-PHK semua petugas keamanan dengan alasan itu,” ungkap Surasa.
Perusahaan masih menahan ijazah Surasa meski sudah memecatnya. Mereka hanya menjanjikan pengembalian secara lisan tanpa memberikan bukti tertulis. “Mereka bilang harus menunggu sampai masalah selesai. Tapi setelah dua bulan, perusahaan tetap belum mengembalikan ijazah saya,” protes Surasa.
