BRUSSELS, Desapenari.id – Uni Eropa (UE) kini serius mempertimbangkan berbagai langkah tegas terhadap Israel menyusul eskalasi perang di Gaza. Namun, dalam pertemuan menteri luar negeri di Brussels pada Selasa (15/7/2025), blok politik ini masih belum menemukan titik temu.
Kaja Kallas, Kepala Kebijakan Luar Negeri UE, sebelumnya mengajukan 10 opsi tindakan yang bisa diambil. Mulai dari menghentikan kerja sama bilateral, membatasi perdagangan, menjatuhkan sanksi terhadap pejabat Israel, memberlakukan embargo senjata, hingga mencabut kebijakan bebas visa. “Israel jelas melanggar kesepakatan kerja sama yang harusnya menjunjung tinggi hak asasi manusia,” tegas Kallas.
Namun, para diplomat mengaku Uni Eropa masih terbelah. “Saya sudah menyiapkan daftar langkah yang bisa kita ambil. Sekarang, negara-negara anggota perlu menentukan tindakan nyata,” tegas Kallas, Senin (14/7/2025), dalam laporan AFP.
Nasib Gaza Jadi Penentu
Arah diskusi di Brussels diperkirakan sangat bergantung pada komitmen Israel. Kallas mengungkapkan, pada Kamis lalu, ia sudah mencapai kesepakatan dengan Menteri Luar Negeri Israel, Gideon Saar, untuk membuka lebih banyak akses bantuan kemanusiaan ke Gaza.
“Ada peningkatan jumlah truk bantuan yang masuk, tapi jelas belum cukup. Kami akan terus mendorong Israel memenuhi janjinya,” tegas Kallas. Saat ini, sekitar dua juta warga Gaza hidup dalam krisis parah akibat blokade Israel selama perang melawan Hamas.
Israel Yakin Tak Akan Kena Sanksi
Di tengah tekanan Uni Eropa, Gideon Saar justru tampak percaya diri. “Saya yakin tidak satu pun dari opsi itu akan disetujui negara-negara UE. Tidak ada alasan untuk itu,” tegasnya saat menghadiri pertemuan di Brussels.
Blok ini baru mulai meninjau ulang kerja sama dengan Israel setelah gencatan senjata Maret lalu gagal, memicu serangan besar-besaran Israel di Gaza.

Sebelumnya, perbedaan sikap antara negara pro-Israel dan pro-Palestina sempat menghambat langkah bersama. Namun, krisis kemanusiaan di Gaza kini memaksa UE untuk lebih serius menekan Israel.
Menteri Luar Negeri Yordania, Ayman Safadi, yang juga hadir dalam pertemuan itu, mengingatkan bahwa situasi di Gaza masih “benar-benar katastropik”. Ia mendesak komunitas internasional, termasuk Uni Eropa, untuk segera bertindak.
Apa Langkah Selanjutnya?
Jika Israel tidak segera membuka akses bantuan secara penuh, sanksi bisa menjadi opsi nyata. Namun, segala keputusan akhirnya tetap bergantung pada kesepakatan 27 negara anggota.
