JAKARTA, Desapenari.id – Aparat keamanan Arab Saudi menemukan tiga warga negara Indonesia (WNI) dalam kondisi mengenaskan di tengah gurun Jumum, dekat Mekkah, pada Selasa (27/5/2025). “Dehidrasi ekstrem menewaskan SM di tempat, sementara tim penyelamat berhasil membawa J dan S ke rumah sakit dalam kondisi kritis.”
Konsul Jenderal RI di Jeddah, Yusron B. Ambary, menjelaskan bahwa sebelumnya almarhum SM bersama 10 WNI lainnya terkena razia karena mencoba berhaji menggunakan visa nonhaji. Akibatnya, mereka semua diusir ke Jeddah. Namun, alih-alih menyerah, SM yang masuk Arab Saudi dengan visa ziarah multiple justru nekat kembali mencoba masuk Mekkah secara ilegal bersama dua rekannya, J dan S.
Ditinggal Supir Taksi Gelap di Tengah Gurun
Mereka memilih menggunakan taksi gelap yang membawa mereka melalui jalur gurun untuk menghindari patroli. Namun, malang tak bisa ditolak. Sang supir taksi tiba-tiba mengusir mereka di tengah padang pasir karena takut ketahuan aparat. Tanpa persiapan cukup, ketiganya terdampar di bawah terik matahari gurun yang menyengat.
Ditemukan Drone Patroli, Satu Sudah Tak Bernyawa
Nasib mereka berubah setelah patroli drone milik keamanan Arab Saudi mendeteksi keberadaan mereka. Petugas menemukan SM dalam kondisi tidak bernyawa, dan dugaan kuat menunjukkan dehidrasi parah sebagai penyebabnya. Sementara itu, tim medis segera membawa J dan S yang masih selamat ke rumah sakit setempat. Setelah menjalani perawatan intensif, pihak berwenang kembali mengusir keduanya ke Jeddah karena status imigrasi mereka ilegal.
Jenazah SM kini masih disimpan di rumah sakit Mekkah menunggu proses visum selesai. KJRI Jeddah telah berkoordinasi dengan keluarga almarhum yang berasal dari Madura untuk memastikan pemakaman berjalan sesuai prosedur.
Yusron kembali menegaskan pentingnya menghindari praktik haji nonprosedural. “Kami imbau WNI tidak mengambil risiko dengan cara-cara ilegal. Selain melanggar hukum, nyawa taruhannya,” tegasnya. Dia juga mengingatkan, “Marilah kita bijak menjalankan perintah haji. Jangan sampai uang habis, impian haji pun tak tercapai, malah nyawa yang menjadi taruhan.”
Kisah tragis ini seharusnya menjadi peringatan keras bagi siapa pun yang berencana berhaji tanpa mengikuti aturan resmi. Arab Saudi memang memberlakukan hukum ketat, dan upaya melalu jalur gelap hanya akan berujung petaka.
KJRI Jeddah kini terus memantau perkembangan kasus ini dan berupaya mempercepat pemulangan jenazah SM ke Indonesia. Mereka juga memberikan pendampingan hukum bagi dua WNI yang selamat untuk menghindari masalah lebih lanjut dengan otoritas setempat.

Yusron menambahkan, “Arab Saudi tidak main-main dengan pelanggaran visa. Jika aparat menangkap mereka, konsekuensinya sangat berat: pihak berwenang bisa mendeportasi atau memenjarakan mereka. Oleh karena itu, dia mendesak calon jamaah haji hanya menggunakan jalur resmi agar terhindar dari risiko serupa.
Keluarga SM di Madura tengah berduka mendengar kabar meninggalnya sang anak. Pemerintah pun mendesak masyarakat agar lebih waspada terhadap penawaran haji murah yang kerap menjerat calon jamaah dalam praktik ilegal.
Kasus ini membuktikan bahwa mencoba berhaji dengan cara instan dan melawan hukum hanya akan merugikan diri sendiri. Pemerintah Indonesia terus bekerja sama dengan otoritas Arab Saudi untuk memastikan keamanan jamaah, namun kesadaran masyarakat tetap menjadi kunci utama.
