Kapolres Merangin, AKBP Kiki Firmansyah, secara eksklusif menyampaikan kepada awak media pada Jumat (16/1/2025) bahwa jenazah tersebut merupakan terduga pelaku kasus narkoba. Lebih detail lagi, pria ini sebelumnya berhasil ditangkap oleh jajaran Satresnarkoba Polres Merangin pada hari Minggu (11/1/2026). Namun, alih-alih menyerah, ia justru melakukan aksi nekat dengan menceburkan diri ke sungai untuk melarikan diri!

Kemudian, identitas pria malang itu pun berhasil dilacak. Pria berinisial A ini diketahui merupakan warga Tanjung, Kelurahan Kampung Baruh, Kecamatan Tabir. Selain itu, polisi juga berhasil mengungkap barang bukti yang cukup mencengangkan dari tangannya. Bukti-bukti ini, tentunya, semakin menguatkan dugaan keterlibatannya dalam jaringan narkoba.

Barang-barang itu antara lain 1 kotak rokok, 5 plastik klip kosong yang diduga untuk wadah narkoba, 1 timbangan digital kecil, alat isap sabu jenis bong, sendok takar, 4 buah korek api, gunting, dompet, dan uang tunai senilai Rp 103.000.
Jenazah Akhirnya Dikembalikan ke Keluarga untuk Dimakamkan
Setelah semua proses pemeriksaan selesai, jenazah korban pun segera dibawa ke RSUD Bangko untuk menjalani autopsi. Akhirnya, setelah semua prosedur hukum dipenuhi, jenazah tersebut telah diserahkan kepada pihak keluarga. Kini, keluarga yang berduka tersebut dapat memakamkan sang anak dengan tenang.
