MEDAN, Desapeanari.id – Polda Sumatera Utara (Sumut) akhirnya angkat bicara menanggapi video viral yang memperlihatkan anak Kasi Propam Polres Tapanuli Selatan (Tapsel) berinisial AS (16) diduga melakukan aksi tabrak lari menggunakan mobil dinas polisi. Kejadian ini terjadi di Jalan Pandu, Kota Medan, Minggu (6/7/2025).
Kombes Pol Ferry Walintukan, Kabid Humas Polda Sumut, menegaskan bahwa hingga saat ini, pihaknya belum menerima laporan resmi terkait dugaan tabrak lari tersebut. “Setelah kami cek ke Satlantas Polrestabes Medan, tidak ada laporan kecelakaan yang masuk,” jelas Ferry dalam keterangan pers di Mapolda Sumut, Senin (7/7/2025).
Ferry menambahkan bahwa berdasarkan pengakuan AS, tidak terjadi tabrak lari melainkan hanya insiden serempetan antara dua mobil. “Dari hasil klarifikasi, kendaraan dinas itu bersenggolan dengan mobil lain, tapi tidak ada bukti tabrak lari,” tegasnya.
Namun, polisi masih berupaya menghubungi korban untuk memastikan kejadian sebenarnya. “Kami sudah berusaha kontak korban, tapi sampai sekarang belum bisa terhubung,” ujar Ferry.
Ia juga tidak menampik bahwa kejar-kejaran antara AS dan korban benar terjadi, seperti yang terekam dalam video viral.
Ferry mengungkapkan bahwa saat kejadian, Iptu A—sang Kasi Propam Tapsel—sedang beristirahat di rumah. Sayangnya, mobil dinasnya justru dipakai oleh anaknya, AS, untuk jalan-jalan di Medan.
Akibat kelalaian ini, Iptu A kini menjalani pemeriksaan internal oleh Bidang Propam Polda Sumut dan berpotensi terkena sanksi disiplin. Sementara itu, kasus pelanggaran lalu lintasnya sedang ditangani Satlantas Polrestabes Medan.
“Nanti akan kami lihat perkembangannya. Untuk pelanggaran disiplin, urusan Propam. Kalau pelanggaran lalu lintas, itu wewenang Satlantas,” pungkas Ferry.

Dalam rekaman itu, terlihat korban mengejar mobil dinas sambil berteriak, “Ini mobil Propam nabrak orang terus kabur!”
