Desapenari.id – Depinas SOKSI (Dewan Pimpinan Nasional Sentral Organisasi Karyawan Swadiri Indonesia) secara tegas mendukung langkah pemerintah menghentikan sementara aktivitas tambang nikel di Pulau Gag, Raja Ampat, Papua Barat Daya. Sikap ini disampaikan langsung oleh Puteri Komarudin, Ketua Bidang Kemitraan Perbankan dan Pasar Modal Depinas SOKSI 2020-2025 sekaligus anggota Komisi XI DPR RI dari Fraksi Partai Golkar.
Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia sebelumnya mengambil keputusan tegas menghentikan operasi PT GAG Nikel di Raja Ampat. Langkah ini merupakan respons cepat pemerintah menanggapi keluhan masyarakat soal dampak pertambangan terhadap kawasan wisata setempat.
“Saya menilai keputusan Pak Bahlil sangat tepat, mulai dari peninjauan langsung di lapangan,” tegas Puteri dalam siaran persnya, Selasa (10/6/2025).
Menurutnya, langkah penting memastikan seluruh aktivitas tambang benar sesuai aturan, terutama dalam hal perlindungan lingkungan dan penghormatan terhadap kearifan lokal.
“Kami sepenuhnya Kementerian ESDM akan mengevaluasi dan mengawasi secara ketat serta transparan setiap kegiatan pertambangan di Raja Ampat,” tambah Puteri.
Ia menekankan, pengawasan ini mencakup tiga aspek utama: legalitas, dampak lingkungan, dan kepatuhan terhadap regulasi yang berlaku.
Kemudian, pada 2017, Kementerian ESDM mengeluarkan Keputusan Menteri Nomor 430.K/30/DJB/2017 yang memberikan izin eksplorasi sekaligus membuka jalan bagi operasi produksi.
Izin ini berlaku hingga 30 tahun ke depan, tepatnya sampai 30 November 2047.
Bahlil Hadir sebagai Solusi
Di tengah polemik yang terjadi, Bahlil justru muncul sebagai pihak yang proaktif menampung aspirasi masyarakat. Puteri meyakini, pemerintah punya komitmen kuat antara perlindungan lingkungan dan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam program hilirisasi untuk mendongkrak pertumbuhan ekonomi.
“Kami percaya, dengan pengawasan yang ketat dan transparan, aktivitas pertambangan bisa berjalan tanpa mengorbankan lingkungan dan kepentingan masyarakat lokal,” ujarnya.

Sementara itu, warga Raja Ampat menyambut baik keputusan pemerintah. Mereka berharap, evaluasi yang dilakukan benar-benar menyentuh persoalan utama, seperti kerusakan ekosistem dan dampak sosial yang selama ini dikeluhkan.
Optimisme Menuju Pertambangan yang Bertanggung Jawab
Puteri menutup pernyataannya dengan optimisme. Ia yakin,dengan kolaborasi antara pemerintah, pelaku usaha, dan masyarakat, industri pertambangan di Raja Ampat bisa dikelola secara bertanggung jawab demi kesejahteraan bersama.
“Ini momentum untuk membuktikan bahwa pembangunan ekonomi dan pelestarian lingkungan bisa berjalan beriringan,” pungkasnya.

Kini, semua mata tertuju pada langkah Kementerian ESDM dalam menuntaskan evaluasi. Hasilnya nanti akan menentukan apakah PT Gag Nikel bisa kembali beroperasi atau justru harus mengakhiri kegiatannya demi menyelamatkan Raja Ampat.
Satu hal yang pasti, keputusan menjadi ujian nyata bagi komitmen pemerintah dalam menerapkan pembangunan berkelanjutan di tengah eksploitasi sumber daya alam.
