PROBOLINGGO, Desapenari.id – Dua wanita meregang nyawa setelah sepeda motor yang mereka tumpangi terlibat kecelakaan tragis di Jalan Raya Bromo, Kecamatan Sukapura, Kabupaten Probolinggo, Jawa Timur, Senin (2/6/2025) sore. Menurut dugaan sementara, rem motor yang blong menjadi biang keladi hingga pengendara kehilangan kendali dan menabrak pagar rumah warga.
Medan Menurun dan Rem Blong Jadi Faktor Utama
Kanit Gakkum Satlantas Polres Probolinggo, Ipda Aditya Wirakrama, menjelaskan bahwa kecelakaan ini terjadi sekitar pukul 18.00 WIB di jalur menurun yang menghubungkan Desa Ngadisari menuju kawasan wisata Bromo. “Korban tewas adalah Siti Aisyah (38), warga Probolinggo, dan Sovianna (27), warga Mayangan, Kota Probolinggo. Mereka mengendarai motor Honda Beat tanpa TNKB dari arah barat ke timur, atau turun dari Bromo. Diduga kuat, rem motor mereka blong,” papar Aditya, Selasa (3/5/2025).
Saat melintas di lokasi kejadian, motor yang dikendarai Siti Aisyah tiba-tiba mengalami gagal rem saat menuruni jalan curam. Akibatnya, kendaraan meluncur tak terkendali, menghantam pagar rumah di tepi jalan, sebelum akhirnya terpelanting ke badan jalan.
Dampak kecelakaan ini sungguh fatal. Siti Aisyah dan Sovianna tewas seketika di tempat akibat luka parah di sekujur tubuh mereka. Tak hanya itu, seorang pengendara lain, Ulfatun Nisak, yang kebetulan berada di lokasi, juga ikut terluka dalam insiden ini.
Berdasarkan penyelidikan sementara, polisi menyoroti dua faktor utama penyebab kecelakaan: kelalaian pengemudi dan kerusakan rem kendaraan. Siti Aisyah diduga tidak mampu menguasai medan turunan curam karena rem motornya tidak berfungsi maksimal.
“Pengemudi gagal mengendalikan kendaraan di jalan menurun, ditambah rem yang blong. Selain itu, ada kelalaian karena tidak memeriksa kondisi motor sebelum berkendara,” tegas Aditya.
