desapenari – Plengkung Gading atau Plengkung Nirbaya di dekat Alun-alun Kidul, Yogyakarta, resmi ditutup mulai Sabtu (15/3/2025). Pemerintah Daerah (Pemda) DIY mengambil keputusan ini setelah melakukan uji coba Sistem Satu Arah (SSA) sejak Senin (10/3/2025).

Alasan Penutupan
Kepala Dinas Kebudayaan DIY, Dian Lakshmi Pratiwi, menjelaskan bahwa penutupan ini bertujuan untuk konservasi dan penyelamatan struktur Plengkung Nirbaya. Evaluasi pasca uji coba SSA menunjukkan kondisi plengkung yang semakin mengkhawatirkan. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah memutuskan untuk melakukan penutupan total demi keselamatan.
“Penutupan ini bukan hanya untuk menyelamatkan struktur Plengkung Nirbaya, tetapi juga untuk menjaga keselamatan pengendara dan masyarakat. Kami perlu melakukan langkah antisipasi terhadap potensi bahaya yang mungkin terjadi,” jelas Dian Lakshmi Pratiwi, Sabtu (15/3/2025).
Hasil Evaluasi dan Keputusan Pemerintah
Dinas PUPESDM DIY menggelar rapat evaluasi pada Jumat (14/03/2025) untuk membahas hasil uji coba SSA. Hasil rapat menyimpulkan bahwa pembatasan akses selama uji coba tidak efektif dalam memberikan ruang penanganan yang maksimal. Karena itu, penutupan total dianggap sebagai solusi terbaik.
Kondisi Kerentanan Plengkung Nirbaya
Dian Lakshmi menambahkan, tekanan dari usia struktur, pembangunan, dan kondisi lingkungan memperparah kerentanan Plengkung Nirbaya. Hasil pemantauan sejak 2015 hingga sekarang menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kerusakan melebihi perkiraan. Oleh karena itu, pemerintah menilai penutupan total sebagai langkah konservasi yang penting.

Proses konservasi akan mencakup pemetaan dan pendokumentasian semua kerentanan dan potensi kerusakan. Dengan penutupan total, pemerintah berharap dapat menciptakan ruang dan waktu yang cukup untuk menangani kerentanan tersebut secara menyeluruh.
